Recently, the EASE group led a publication entitled "Hydroxyl Dicarboxylic Acids at a Mountainous Site in Hong Kong: Formation Mechanisms and Implications for Particle Growth" in ACS Environmental Au. Based on time-resolved measurements of organic aerosol molecular markers and explainable machine learning, this study provided an in-depth analysis of the formation mechanisms of hydroxyl dicarboxylic acids (OHDCA), such as malic acid, as well as synergistic effects of multiple factors on OHDCA concentrations.
The PhD student Hongyong Li is the first author of this paper, with Professor Xiaopu Lyu, Professor Likun Xue (Shandong University) and Professor Hai Guo (The Hong Kong Polytechnic University) serving as corresponding authors.
ACS Environmental Au is an open access journal publishing experimental research and theoretical results in all aspects of environmental science and technology, both fundamental and applied. It has the first impact factor of 6.7 in 2023.
