In April 2026, ZHANG Fengyang and SUN Maiqi, PhD students of EASE team, received the Outstanding PICO Award at the 8th Symposium on Atmospheric Ozone Pollution Prevention and Control held in Lanzhou, Gansu.
ZHANG Fengyang’s presentation, titled “Slowing Growth of Transboundary Ozone Export from the Chinese Mainland,” examined the temporal evolution and influencing factors of ozone export from the Chinese Mainland, demonstrating the effectiveness of China’s air pollution control.
SUN Maiqi’s presentation, titled “Temperature Effects on Ozone Pollution in Hong Kong", focused on how elevated temperatures influence ozone formation, emphasizing the increasing challenges of ozone pollution control under a warming climate.
This recognition awarded to ZHANG Fengyang and SUN Maiqi highlights the strong research capabilities and continued commitment of the EASE team in the field of atmospheric chemistry.
